Robot Helpers & Accessible Self-Driving Rides: Our Early-Stage Pilot

At Blake's Buddies & Friends, we believe technology should open doors for everyone. Our board has approved an early-stage pilot to explore how robot helpers and accessible self-driving rides could one day support the people with disabilities and autism we serve. This work is just beginning, and your donation helps us take those first careful steps toward greater independence for our recipients.

Robot Helpers & Assistive Technology

We are exploring how assistive robots and other helpful technology could make everyday tasks a little easier for people with disabilities and autism. Right now, this is about learning: understanding what our recipients need and which tools might genuinely help. Your support helps us research, test ideas, and work toward helpers that are safe, friendly, and truly useful.

Accessible Self-Driving Rides

Getting where you need to go can be one of the biggest barriers to independence. As part of our pilot, we are exploring how autonomous (self-driving) vehicles might someday offer accessible rides for the people we serve. Rides are not available yet. We are in the early stages of learning what accessible, comfortable, and safe transportation should look like for our recipients.

Why It Matters & How Your Gift Helps

Every person deserves the chance to live with more independence, connection, and confidence. Your gift helps fund the early work of this pilot as we explore, learn, and develop ideas with our recipients' needs at the center. Donations to Blake's Buddies & Friends, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 33-4640566), help us keep building toward that future.

Help us explore a more independent future.
